About the project
Strictly Morris began life as a proof of concept, shot in May 2023 in West Tanfield, North Yorkshire. Filmed with real Morris sides, the Leeds Morris Men and the Raving Maes Morris Dancers, it captures the colour, noise and fierce pride of a world most people only ever glimpse on a village green.
Max Mason is now writing and directing the feature, which is in development at Chalice Films, with Max and Richard Rogan producing.
