When a struggling actor falls into the unhinged world of entertainment-for-hire to make some quick cash, he finds success, friendship and himself in the most unexpected places.
Synopsis
Joe is fresh out of drama school with a mediocre showreel and a pile of rejections. Forced to move back in with his mum, he signs up with All Sorts Entertainment, an agency that will supply anything from a superhero for a kids' party to a dinosaur expert for a school assembly.
What starts as a stopgap becomes something more: a gang of brilliant oddballs, a growing knack for the job, and a question he never expected to ask. What if the side hustle is the real thing?

About the pilot
Inspired by writer and star Jack Gray's own years as a hired entertainer, Side Hustle is a very British comedy in the vein of Extras meets Fleabag. The pilot was made as a proof of concept for a 7 × 30-minute series.
